Bud's suitcase was his most prized possession along with the things in it.
What is your most prized possession and why?

  1. My most prized possession is my stuffed animal monkey, Keykey,
he is my most prized possession because I got him when I was very little and I slept with him every single night. Also, when I bring him to my grandparent’s house my Papa tells Keykey’s jungle stories about him in the jungle. Finally, Keykey has gone everywhere with me from the Hospital to in my bed at night, I feel that these are great reasons for Keykey to be my most prized possession.

    1. When you were very little, you used to take a stuffed animal to daycare with you each day. You never took Keykey because you were afraid that he might get lost, or hurt. Keykey has always been a prized possession.

  2. My most prized possession is my wedding ring. It's special because it reminds me of the day that my husband and I, and our three boys, participated in a ceremony that celebrated our family. It's my most prized possession because I lost it, and there's a special story about getting it back.

I realized that this ring was my most prized possession when, shortly after our ceremony, I lost it! My ring rolled off of the counter in our bathroom and right down into the heating vent. I thought it was lost forever and I was very sad.

A few days later, when I was at work, my husband texted me a picture of my ring inside the heating vent. I thought that it was lucky that we knew where it had ended up, but doubted that it would be able to be retrieved. When I arrived at home however, I discovered my ring was waiting for me on my desk! I was delighted to be reunited with it. I also discovered that there was a big hole in our bathroom floor where my husband and brother-in-law had sawed an opening into the heating vent. My husband had realized how important the ring was to me and had worked very hard to return it to me. That year, for Mother's Day, our boys made a jewelry box for me so that I could keep my ring in a safe place when it wasn't on my finger (and so I wouldn’t lose it again).

My ring is my most prized possession because it reminds me of my great family, and of the stories and memories we share.

  5. My most prized possession is a metal praying cup with my full name engraved on it .It is special to me because the person who gave it to me is no longer with us. As well as it is a symbol of my existence. I look at it every morning and pray about the wonderful things in life. I keep it on my bed stand. I bring it every where with me, it is sort of like a charm. My bad mood is instantly changed when I think of my cup. That is why believe it is my most prized possession.

  8. My most prized possession is my big fat stuffed animal dog named Joey, after my cousin, which when I named it, was my favorite cousin. Joey was the only stuffed animal I didn’t allow to go to the back of the car or with the moving truck. I’ve had it since I was about 2 years old.

I always bring it anywhere that I stay more that 4 nights at. Including across the country when I’m visiting my family!

  9. My most prized possession would be my grandfather’s cap. I chose this because he passed away last October and I keep his hat in order to remember him. Like Bud I like to reassure myself that my grandpa’s hat is there like Bud likes to assure himself that his suit case is under his pillow. When I start to feel sad I look at his cap and think of being with him. That is why my grandfather’s hat is my most prized possession.

  12. My 2nd most prized possession is my bed and all the furniture in my room. You see, it used to be all part of my crib, but they rebuilt it into a bed when I was three.

There were extra pieces and extra shelves and cabinets, so they decided to make me a dresser, a armoire, and a nightstand. The thing is, they are all pretty big things so while I stayed at my grandma's house with my mom for a while, my dad and his friend Chris rebuilt everything.

All the furniture is like a symbol that I until I move out, I'll probably still be using it. The bed is a queen sized bed, and the dresser isn't nearly full even though my mom just did my laundry, and I stuff a bunch of junk in my nightstand and it still isn't nearly full, and my armoire is filled with my skiing things and my taekwondo things and my swimming things, and socks, and it's not full.

Plus, it's very, very, very goog quality furniture, at least for someone my age.

  13. My most prized possession is my stuffed bunny, Fluffy. Fluffy is special to me because I have had it since I was born and it reminds me of when I was little. I always take it on plane and road trips. It also reminds me of family and love. The two things always matter to me, along with Fluffy.

  14. My most prized possession is my wedding ring. My husband and I have been through many ups and downs. The diamond shines with brilliance still after 12 years and two beautiful children. The band is a bit worn and it reminds me of all things we have endured and the smaller diamonds remind me of all the wonderful moments we have created together. Each night I remove it and place it in my jewelry box. When I close the lid I think of all the great moments we have shared and when I open the lid I anticipate all the great things to come. My wedding ring is my most prized possession and I hope it will be for a long time to come!

  15. My most prized possession would be the VERY large box of photos that we have moved twice in the past two years. It holds memories of my childhood, as well as the sweet moments of my own children. They are all mixed together - which I love - but I think often about how they need to be properly taken care of...I am waiting to find that block of time to take each photo out, enjoy it and find a good home for it.

  16. My family photographs are my most prized possession(s). From the old family photos of grandparents who died before I was born to the current photos of my husband and children---they all tell the story of my life.

  17. My most prized possession is an antique roll-top desk that belonged to my grandfather and my father. The desk was in their law offices. Both my grandfather and father were lawyers. I used to go to their law offices and play and I loved to sit at that desk and pretend I was also a lawyer. It now serves as my desk at my house. Even though I did not follow in their footsteps but instead became a teacher, they were proud of what I choose to do with my life!

  20. My 3rd most prized possession is my dog, Charlie. I was born with 2 dogs, Hemi and Dexter, but I never really got attached to them. Dexter passed away when I was only five, and Hemi passed away 2 christmas’ ago. I got Charlie right before I turned ten, in Thanksgiving break.

I played with him everyday. Before School, After School, on the weekend. I almost never played video games or listened to music or watched videos, movies, or cartoons. I never even played with any other of my friends for a while.

When we got him, he was 8lbs, and now he’s about 45lbs! He is actually almost as big as me! My dog really loves me and I really love him. Here, let me give you an example. My mom once made a video as I left for school right after I pet Charlie goodbye, I close the door and Charlie sways and sways, runs to the door and back to my mom, door, mom, door, mom, then he starts howling and my mom positioned her phone so that you could see it, and she walked over to Charlie and while hugging him she softly said,” It’s okay Charlie, he’s gonna come back.” Then she walked back and ended the video.

I always make sure to give Charlie a extra big hug when I come back through the garage from school. That’s how I know he really cares about me, a lot.

  21. I don't have a single most prized possession, but the things that matter most to me are physical reminders of places I've been and people I love. Old photographs and souvenirs mean more to me than things that have a higher monetary value. Looking at photos and souvenirs can make me feel like I'm back on that trip to Spain, or can remind me of what it felt like to bring my babies home from the hospital for the first time.

  23. My most prized possession is a blanket I call Kocunio. It kind of means “blanket” in Polish. I got it when I was less than a year old from my aunt. I don’t necessarily sleep with it since I get hot at night, but I always keep it very close. I am afraid that it might get lost in an imaginary fire.
My second most prized possession is a stuffed animal named Minty. I got it last year with my friends Anna and Emily at a store in downtown Denver. We were going to a Halloween orchestra party, and I was allowed to get a small good. Minty has gone everywhere with me (Halloween parties, hotels, field trips, etc.) and I sleep with him every night. I even named myself Minty Spears during a Kahoot (his full name) in honor of him!

  39. 1. I think that Bud would be a good child to adopt, because, he is brave. Bud is brave because even though he got stung by hornets, left behind and mistreated by his foster family, he stood strong and kept on going. Another reason why Bud would be a good kid to adopt is because he can always find the good in everything. When there is a problem, like when he was in the shed, Bud found a way to get out and be grateful.

    2. Bud’s strong points are his , bravery, kindness, and his easy going personality. Bud is kind because he is always willing to help someone even though he needs to help himself. Also, Bud is brave. When the hornets were stinging him he still found a way to get out and keep on going. Bud’s last, strong point is his easy going personality Bus is easy going because when he was at the soup kitchen and the strange family called him Clarence he went with it and got some delicious oatmeal.

    3. I think that Bud would fit in my family in a good way. I think this because my is a very normal mellow family. Also, I think that Bud would be good in my family because we are kind and always love to talk to one another. Another thing is our love for good food. Like Bud we always love some good oatmeal and a good dinner.

  40. I think that Bud would fit in my family for two reasons.

1.Bud was couragous when he was stuck in the shed with a "vampire bat" but it was actually a hornets nest. And even though got stung by them he stayed strong.Bud would also be a great kid to adopt, because when he was not accepted into the bread line he told himself he would go for dinner and didn't whine. That is one reason Bud would be a great kid to adopt.

2.I think Bud would fit in my family because of the food my mom cooks. One example is that I'm a vegitarian that eats only seamen like shrimp, and crab so a fishetarian-ish,but anyway my mom makes me special things for me to eat.In addition, whatever my mom makes it is always delicious.

  41. “I think Bud would be a good child to adopt “is not a reasonable statement for these two reasons. First off,Bud seems like a rough boy.I believe Bud is rough because on page 25 it states “I took out my jackknife and tried scraping the newspaper with it.” This proves that Bud is a rough and seems to harsh.Another reason bud seems like a bad child to adopt is he is way too untrustworthy.I knowthis for a fact.On page 51 it talks about his fake family. In chapter 3 it takes about ruels and things number 328 it talkes about lying.Hence,he is untrustworthy.Bud’s strong parts are his quick thinking and positive attitude. He is quick thinking because on page 47 it says “ I looked up and down the line to see you was supposed to be my mama when a woman pointing the finger and her feet and said” Clarence, you get over here right now”’ he quickly decided to either go with his mother or not . Which shows he is a quick thinker. He has a positive attitude because on page 51 it States” the oatmeal was delicious !” makes it sound like he has a positive attitude. And I think he does! He would add to my family by taking his positive attitude and letting it shine on to the rest of our family. As well as, making a family better and bigger . bud would fit into our family because of his stubborn love. I know he's stubborn love because in chapter 3 and 4 he is stubborn with the Amos family. Therefore, he would probably show that same trait around our family. Which proves that he would fit into our family well.

  42. After considering all of the things I treasure in my life, such as my family, my memories, my health and strength, my talents and abilities...I realized that I wouldn't have any of those if I didn't have a Savior first. So I would say that my knowledge of a Savior in Jesus Christ is my "prized possession". Because of Him, even when I don't have my family or my memories or my health or strength, I know I'm not alone, I know He loves me and cares for me and it makes me feel safe and warm inside kinda like Bud's suitcase full of things makes him feel safe and warm inside and helps remind him of how much his mom loves him.

  43. I think Bud has a list of “Rules of life and things” to help him because he is an orphan and has learned a lot of stuff the hard way, so he tries to avoid some of the things the rules say such as “I need a little help with a problem,” Bud says that it means you’re gonna get tricked. I don’t have any rules for life except to be happy.
